As school started in late August, my 18 year old cousin Katie was required to submit a short, personal essay for her English Comp 101 class. She chose to write about our cousin Graham, who passed away from Lymphoma this past May. Katie’s essay is sweet and poignant and I’m positive that Graham absolutely loved it.

My cousin Graham lost his battle with cancer last night about 9:30pm.  He was exactly 23 years and 2 months old. 

Last night, I was singing the song Let My Words Be Few, and as I got to the chorus, I had a brief vision of Graham, standing before Them on the throne, cracking jokes.

The battle’s almost over

My 23-yr old cousin Graham was diagnosed last year with Burkitt’s lymphoma.   We got the call today that his fight has escalated very quickly and he’s about to lose the battle.  It’s now just a matter of hours.  Please pray for a peaceful passing for him, and for strength and peace for the rest of us.
